TWG holds their annual Texas Woodcarving Show in Cleburne during the first week of April. The show includes week long carving classes and is held at the Cleburne Conference Center at 1501 W Henderson St, Cleburne. The TWG Museum opened Tuesday April 10, at J.N. Long Cultural Arts Complex. The first woodcarvings gathered and displayed in the museum are from the collection of Jack Price a resident of Cleburne. Jack is still carving at the age of 96. The museum displays carvings from members and families of deceased members. Woodcarving is becoming a lost art with all the mechanical duplicators that have come onto the market. We hope that all visitors to the museum will appreciate the work of the carver using a knife and a few gouges.
