Interpretive Art Show

This free show is unique in that it showcases the work of

Cleburne Camera Club

Johnson County Art Guild

and

Johnson County Creative Writers and Poets

Inspired by Nature

Leonardo da Vinci said, “Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.”

The Interpretive Art Show at J.N. Long Cultural Arts Complex evokes a double dose of visual laced with poetic feelings.

This show is the combined efforts of the Cleburne Camera Club, Johnson County Art Guild and the Creative Writers and Poets of Johnson County.

Preparation starts mid-summer when the photographers turn in their photos to the art guild. Each photo is then interpreted as a painting

in either acrylic, oil or watercolor. Finally, poems are written expressing the feelings evoked by the art.

Show open Friday, October 13th and runs through Saturday, November 11th.
